A four-day working week, the Great Resignation, greater flexibility... They may all sound like buzzwords, but the UK recruitment industry is changing.
Since the pandemic, the labour market has witnessed a lot of upheaval. The rapid shift to a candidate-led market has made it harder for employers to achieve application numbers and secure the right talent. With the cost-of-living putting pressure on UK households and signs of a potential recession, how have candidate motivations to job searching and the workplace changed? Additionally, what can employers do to attract new talent, while also providing an environment people want to stay (and thrive) in?
In this session, our Managing Director Simon Wingate explores the factors which drive people to leave or stay in their jobs. Using insights from our recent jobseeker and employer survey, he'll explain what candidates and employees value in an employer, the most appealing benefits (that people actually want), and the steps employers will take to attract and retain employees in a post-pandemic world.
