As we enter a new era of human evolution, work is merely one of the many aspects of social life that’s undergoing a transformation. However, regardless of time and space, there are intrinsic factors in the very nature of work that will never change. To prepare for the future of work, we need to think like an architect about these foundational concepts. Yet, we also need to prepare for constant transition on the level of form. Transition architects are leaders who can reimagine how we compensate people for their time, what it means to be present at work, and how we measure team members’ productivity as we continue to march in the direction of automation.
