Following a nearly 2 decade career leading international in-house TA functions Katrina moved to become an entrepreneur and set up Join Talent in 2018.
Katrina is the first female business leader in the 29 year history of the Sunday Times 100 growth list to take her company to secure the number 1 spot on the list, and only one of two female CEOs in the top 20 of the Financial Times FT1000 rankings in 2024.
Accolades Katrina has achieved include On-House Recruitment Leader of the Year (Recruiter Awards), 3 times winner of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards, the Kings Award for Enterprise, and this year she is also a finalist in EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Starting at the bottom as an agency temp with no degree, and having worked her way up the corporate ladder ‘the hard way’ Katrina has faced almost every challenge in the corporate and TA world, and has added to her experience with her 6 years of building and running an international hyper-scaling business.
In this talk Katrina will be exploring examples from both her own experience facing a range of obstacles in her career and also cutting edge thinking in neuroscience to explore how much of the stress we deal with as talent acquisition practitioners and leaders can come from our own unhealthy attitudes to the challenges we face.
Her challenge will be to confront that attitude and explore how if we change it we have the power to break free – living more relaxed, more successful professional lives.
We will explore the three most common areas where people struggle – and work through impactful advice on how to turn that around for greater success and personal well-being.
